CAC@SJB's Opening Art Exhibition Event for Iandry Randrimandroso & Chantal Smith - A Wonderful Show!

The Opening Event for the art exhibiton "The Return of Iandry", featuring the artwork of Iandry Randriamandroso, and special guest artist, Chantal Smith, on Saturday, May 21st at CAC@SJB was a great success, and a wonderful show! Over 60 invited guests, and community residents filed into the Center throughout the afternoon to see and experience what was truly, yet another blessed event held at the Center for the Arts & Culture at St. John the Baptist in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The event was filled with poetry, music, and dance.. to go along with the absolutely exciting, and inspiring artwork by both talented artists, Iandry and Chantal. There were high praises going around all day for the artwork, the artists, the performers, and for the Center itself, which was looking as good as ever, from all the happy youth and adult guests who attended the special event. With poetry readings by CAC@SJB Resident Poets, Edith Maria Baez, "Word Bird" Malik Canty, and Cynthia Jimemez, guitar playing by Richie Robles, and a special, soul-stirring, dance performance by 7 yr. old, Jasmine Kearse, the Center was overflowing with the joy, love, and peace of the creative spirit. A great time was had by all. We want to thank all our wonderful guests, the artists, Iandry and Chantal, the performers, and especially all the individuals who generously gave of their time to help us prepare, and present this event for the community. We are truly grateful to you all! Check out some of the pics and guests' comments from this event after this post.
The exhibition for "The Return of Iandry", with special guest artist, Chantal Smith, will continue to run thru the month of June.
We are also arranging another special event with poetry and music, and an opportunity for guests to meet Iandry and Chantal at the Center.
